Statpanels
 |
Stat panels are the tabbed boxes at the left of the BTG interface. If you use a large map, it may move to the right above the chat box. Each tab represents a different panel. Click on a tab to veiw it's panel.
There are two types of statpanels in BYOND Tabletop Gaming. The first tab is the Game Panel, appropriately labeled "Game". You may open additional panels to manipulate sheet contents. |
The Game Panel
The Game Panel displays the game workspace, the game tools, the chat groups, and the players list.
Workspace |
| The workspace is represented by an icon of a table top in the Game Panel.
The workspace is the area where data sheets are stored. If there are any data sheets in the game, you will see them displayed beneath the workspace. (Sheets contained within another data sheet are not visible in the workspace.)
You may right click on the workspace to access the display, load, new, paste, or save commands. See the Command Reference for details. Clicking on the workspace is the same as using the display command. Double click the workspace to create a new data sheet in the workspace. |
Chat Groups |
The chat groups are represented by an icon of a word ballon in the Game Panel. The red + symbol next to it indicates that you may open the Chat Groups list by clicking on it. You may close the Chat Groups list by clicking it a second time. When open, the Chat group list indicates the currently active chat group with a red > symbol.
Chat groups allow you to send messages, story box contents, and images to specific groups of people.
Please see the Chatting chapter for more details about chat groups.

Players |
| The Players are represented by an icon of several smiling faces. The red + symbol next to it indicates that you may open the players list by clicking on it. You may close the players list by clicking it a second time.
The players list displays a list of all the players who have connected to the game server. It shows their chat name and status (host, GM, mute, and/or banned). Players who are no longer connected to the game are listed under the "--- Logged Out ---" heading.
You may click on a name in the player list to edit the player's name and chat color, if you have edit rights. The GM and host always have edit rights, and the player has rights to edit herself or himself unless the GM removes that right from them. The GM and host may also edit the status of the player and view his or her key name and IP address in the edit window. |
Sheet Panels
 |
Sheet panels display the sheet, a list of all the fields in the sheet, and a close button. You may click on any field to edit it's properties, or right click to access the numerous commands for each field. Clicking the close button closes the panel and removes it from the statpanel tabs. |
